Moto Edge 40 Neo vs iQOO Z7 Pro 5G, battle of the latest value mid ranger phones

The Moto Edge 40 Neo is finally here in India and Motorola has announced it for ₹23,999, as the starting price. Just like other 2023 Motorola smartphones, the Moto Edge 40 Neo also comes with Pantone-styled colour options. The smartphone has been launched in three colour options that are Caneel Bay, Soothing Sea, and Black Beauty. The Black Beauty variant features a glass black, whereas, the other two come with a vegan leather finish. 

Moving on, I am now going to compare the all-new Moto Edge 40 Neo with the iQOO Z7 Pro 5G. It was launched in August at a starting price of ₹24,999.

  Moto Edge 40 Neo VS iQOO Z7 Pro 5G: Display

The Moto Edge 40 Neo is equipped with a 6.55-inch FHD+ pOLED curved display that supports up to 144Hz refresh rate, which is quite surprising because no phone in this range offers a 144Hz refresh rate. The display also comes with 10-bit colour and HDR10+. 

The iQOO Z7 Pro 5G, on the other hand, has a 6.78-inch FHD+ AMOLED display that comes with HDR10+, 10-bit colour, and 120Hz refresh rate.

Moto Edge 40 Neo VS iQOO Z7 Pro 5G: Performance

The Moto Edge 40 neo is powered by the world’s first MediaTek Dimensity 7030 processor paired with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. It runs on Android 13 operating system. Further, it is packed with a 5000mAh battery that supports up to 68-watt fast charging. 

On the other hand, the iQOO Z7 Pro 5G comes with MediaTek Dimensity 7200 paired with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. It also runs on Android 13-based Funtouch OS 13. The iQOO Z7 Pro 5G boasts a 4600mAh battery with 66-watt fast charging support. 

Moto Edge 40 Neo VS iQOO Z7 Pro 5G: Camera

The Moto Edge 40 Neo has a 50-megapixel main camera with PDAF and OIS support, a 13-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 32-megapixel selfie shooter on the front. 

The iQOO Z7 Pro 5G has a 64-megapixel primary camera with PDAF and OIS support. Along with that, there is a 2-megapixel depth sensor and a 16-megapixel front-facing camera.

Moto Edge 40 Neo VS iQOO Z7 Pro 5G: Price and availability

Motorola has launched the Edge 40 Neo at a starting price of ₹23,999. However, the brand has offered a launch discount of ₹3000, dropping the price to ₹20,999. Not just that, you can also avail an additional ₹1000 discount by making the payment through select bank cards. The Moto Edge 40 Neo will be available on Flipkart and Motorola’s online store from September 28, 7 PM onwards. 

The iQOO Z7 Pro 5G is available on Amazon at a starting price of ₹23,999. You can also take advantage of a ₹1000 discount by using ICICI and HDFC Bank cards.
