Vivo X90s Launch Date, Specs and Performance

Today I'm going to share with you my review of the vivo X90s, a new smartphone from vivo that is expected to launch on June 26. The vivo X90s is a successor to the vivo X90 series, which was launched globally and in India earlier this year. The vivo X90s promises to offer some upgrades over its predecessors, such as a more powerful processor, a higher resolution display, and improved cameras. Let's take a closer look at what the vivo X90s has to offer.

Design and Display

The vivo X90s has a similar design to the vivo X90 series models, with a glass front and back or an eco leather back option. The phone has a curved AMOLED display with a punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera. The phone also has an IP64 rating for dust and water resistance. The back panel houses a triple camera setup with Zeiss optics and a dual-LED flash. The phone comes in four colour options: black, red, white and green.

The display of the vivo X90s is a 6.78-inch AMOLED panel with a resolution of 2800 x 1280 pixels and a 20:9 aspect ratio. The display supports 1B colours, 120Hz refresh rate, and HDR10+. The display also has an in-display fingerprint sensor for biometric authentication.

Performance and Battery

The vivo X90s is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ chipset, which is a 4nm octa-core processor with a clock speed of up to 3.35GHz. The chipset also supports 5G connectivity and has an Immortalis-G715 MC11 GPU for graphics performance. The phone comes in three RAM and storage variants: 8GB RAM+256GB storage, 12GB RAM+256GB storage and 12GB RAM+512GB storage. The phone does not have a microSD card slot for memory expansion. The phone runs on Android 13 with OriginOS 3 on top.

The battery of the vivo X90s is a 4810mAh unit that supports 120W wired fast charging. According to vivo, the phone can charge up to 50% in just 8 minutes using the fast charger. The phone also supports reverse wired charging for other devices.

Cameras and Other Features

The vivo X90s has a triple camera setup on the back, which consists of a 50MP primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture, PDAF, Laser AF, OIS, and Pixel Shift technology; a 12MP telephoto sensor with f/2.0 aperture, AF, and 2x optical zoom; and a 12MP ultra-wide sensor with f/2.0 aperture and AF. The cameras have Zeiss optics and Zeiss T* lens coating for better image quality. The cameras can record 4K videos at 30/60fps and have features like dual-LED flash, HDR, and panorama.

The selfie camera of the vivo X90s is a 32MP sensor with f/2.5 aperture and HDR support. The selfie camera can record 1080p videos at 30/60fps.

The vivo X90s also has other features like stereo speakers, NFC, infrared port, USB Type-C port, OTG support, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS (L1+L5), GLONASS, BDS, GALILEO, QZSS, NavIC, accelerometer, gyro, proximity sensor, compass, colour spectrum sensor, and 24-bit/192kHz audio.

Conclusion

The vivo X90s is an impressive smartphone that offers some notable upgrades over the vivo X90 series models. The phone has a stunning display, a powerful processor, impressive cameras, and fast charging support. The phone also has some unique features like Pixel Shift technology, Zeiss optics, OriginOS 3, and UFS 4.0 storage.
