 What is Programming Languages?

Programming language are computer-based systems used to create software applications that operate on a computer system. Programming languages can either be interpreted or compiled. Interpreted languages require the user to read the instructions of the program line by line. 


In contrast, compiled languages get their instructions directly from a set of computer instructions written out for them. Because they do not have to interpret each instruction individually, compiled code executes much faster than interpreted code.
