5 best ways for how to check jio data/ net balance:-

Method 1:-

The easiest and effective way to check jio data balance is to call on 1299. As soon as you call in 1299, your call will be disconnected. And in just a few seconds you will receive a message with details of your data balance, SMS balance, top-up balance, validity, and the plan that you are using.

Method 2:-

You can also call on 1800 889 9999 or 1991. As your call connects, you will be informed about your plans and balance updates. Now the call continues and you will be given a few options with their corresponding number to click on to get detailed information. In these options, you got an option of language preference. Now, you can select a language by clicking on the corresponding number. Now your queries will be answered in your preferred language.

Method 3:-

The third easy way for how to check jio data balance is to send SMS. What you have to do is just type BAL and send it to the jio general helpline number 199. Within a few seconds, you will get a message with details of your data balance, validity, SMS balance, talk-time balance and the plan that you are using.

Method 4:-

The fourth way is to use my jio app. My jio app is a single way(digital platform) to do lots of activities related to Jio service, provided by Reliance Jio company. 

With my jio app, you can do a lot of things like managing your jio sim, recharge your sim with a range of different data plan for 1 month, 3 months or 1 year according to your need and want. 

You can also check your active 4G data balance, SMS balance or talk-time balance and validity. The data usage on different period and a detailed statement of your activity like calls, messages can also be checked.

Step 1 :- 

Download and install my jio app from the play store and app store for android and ios smartphone respectively.

Open my jio app and login into it using OTP(One time password).

Method 5:-

The fifth and the last way for how to check jio data balance is by visiting jio.com. Maybe you don't have enough data balance remaining, or you have a shortage of internal storage, or maybe you just don't want to use the app. So, this can be another good option for you to check your data balance on My jio.com.

Step 1:- 

Go to jio.com using any good browser.

Step 2:- 

Click on the sign in button and then log in using your mobile number by clicking on the sim option.

Step 3:- 

Enter the OTP number that will be sent to your login Mobile number and submit it. 

Step 4:- 

Now details of data balance, SMS balance will be displayed.

• You can also check different recharge plans, recharge history, invoice history and a detailed statement of all your activities for the last 180 days.

If you don't have my jio app on your smartphone then install and log in using the method described above. But, if you have it then proceeds.

Step 1:- Connect your smartphone with jioifi using wifi.

Step 2:- Open my jio app and click on "link new account".

Step 3:- You will get a page like this. Login through jiofi option.

Step4:- You will be sent an OTP to your chosen mobile number that you have to enter.

Now you will get detailed information about available data balance on the homepage. You can easily manage both accounts by using the "Switch Account" option.

Q.3:- How to check Jio postpaid balance?

I have described how to check the data balance for a prepaid number above. For checking postpaid, simply send SMS with BILL typed on 199.
You will get an SMS with all details related to balance.

Q.4:- How to check Jio tariff plan?

Send an SMS to jio general helpline number with 'MY PLAN' typed in it.
Information about the tariff plan will be sent to your number on SMS.

Q.5:- How to set jio data usage alert?

If you want to set up a jio usage alert according to your wish, then follow these steps.

Step 1:- Open my jio app and click on the three-line icon on the left upside.

Step 2:- Open the "My Usage" option, then click on settings.

Step 3:- You will get this page, now you can setup Data usage and Monetary balance alert according to your preference and then submit.

Now you will be alerted through SMS as your consumption of data balance exceeds your chosen limit.

Q.6:- How to set jio caller tune?

Gone are the days when you had to pay for activating caller tune. Now with jio, all of it has gone very simple and free. Now you can set caller tune as easily as you set ringtone on your smartphone. Jio provides you a facility to choose from a collection of more than 4 lakh songs and can set that song as your caller tune with no charges applied. It has a large number of songs in which there are Bollywood, International, Regional, Devotional, Bhojpuri, Haryanvi, songs. You can activate jiotune using four different methods.

1. By sending SMS.
2. Through Jiosaavn.
3. By My jio app.
4. By copying other caller tune using the "*" key.

Here, I have described to you only the SMS method.
• For any particular movie, Send "(Movie Name)" on 56789.
• For a specific singer, Send "Singer Name" on the same number.
• For a specific song, Type "Song Name" and send it to 56789.
